Take Life Seriously pt. 1

Just an image for tonight and a little bit if what I’ll be expounding on tomorrow. God bless

Ezra 10:4 “Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it.” Romans 5:4 “And endurance produces character, and character produces hope,” Don’t be complacent in life, don’t expect handouts, don’t test God, don’t be rude, don’t be greedy or selfish. Leave a mark on this world as an inspiration, not a horror story.

Round 2

But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

I feel terrible whenever I am losing a fight with a struggle I’ve been conquering for quite a while. But this morning I was reminded that we aren’t built to lose. Even if we lose a few rounds, we can always bounce back up and start over until we finally become undefeated. Round 2, 3, or 1,000,000…it’s only a matter of time before you end your struggle with a fatality. So don’t take it lightly when you knock your enemy down…. Finish him! God bless.

Remove the Masks in Your Life

“You can’t keep your true self hidden forever; before long you’ll be exposed. You can’t hide behind a religious mask forever; sooner or later the mask will slip and your true face will be known.”
-Luke 12:2 (MSG)

We allow the world to judge us so much that we build up frightening insecurities and create unimaginable masks to hide these insecurities, as well as all the nasty things they produce. In addition, to make ourselves feel less insecure, the moment we see someone struggle with a sin that is different from ours, we become super Christians and judge them the very same way that we were judged, just to fit in. The bible says “sin is sin.” It as if the person we pretend to be is becoming more dangerous than who we really are, and once that mask comes off you will be in even more trouble for putting on a front. Masks are for people who fear being themselves, who don’t want to be fully responsible for their actions. Don’t be a Sunday saint and turn around to gossip, judge, swear, and lie just to kick it with your wordly friends. Don’t be fake just to impress a crowd who is just as fake as you. Take off your mask, glorify God daily, and be the person He called you to be. God bless and goodnight.

Starve your Flesh!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
-Phillipians 4:6-9

There will be a lot of times during our life journey where we just randomly realize that things aren’t working out the way we planned. This causes anxiety, which leads to fear, and can result in anger. Allowing these diseases to take over you is ambition suicide. You become weak and powerless, afraid that things will no longer work out so you just succumb to this feeling of defeat. Starve your “inner-me” and feed your spirit man and ambition with hard work, dreams, and success. They won’t like you when you’re blessed. God bless and goodnight.

Your Battles will be Epic!

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
-Luke 10:19

There is nothing more looked forward too, yet simultaneously dreaded, than an epic boss battle. You know it will be frustrating and extremely difficult, but you also know you will gain a plethora of experience points, a new weapon, and another step towards your goal. However, although these rewards are awesome, they are also meant to prepare for the trials ahead, and the next boss battle. Do not think that victory means you can be lazy, it only means that a stronger enemy is now out to challenge you. Use your experience points wisely and hold your weapon close, new enemies lie ahead. God bless.

Welcome to GG4G

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12

One thing I learned from video games is that the best rewards come after the toughest battles. But even though they are tough, there is usually a period prior to the fight where you can train or practice. But our eyes are so fixated on the prize that we let our pride get in the way and end up losing terribly. And even though the game is set up for us to win, we get frustrated instead of patient and decide to give up all together. Take your time, it’s made for you to win, not control. God bless and good night.
